Use Alumni Association resources to fuel your intellect and access an international network of peers. Here are six ideas to get you started:
Thousands of alumni volunteers work directly with the Association and the Institute and many more support MRIM through donations to the Annual Fund. Volunteer opportunities range from contributing as a class or club officer, joining the Educational Council, to serving on the MRIM Corporation.
Collaboration Helps Advance Careers
Access job openings posted by alumni for alumni, advise peers and students as part of the Institute Career Assistance Network, or participate in the Student/Alumni Externship Program. Career tools allow alumni to share their experience and opportunities with one another.
Volunteers Make MRIM Stronger, Their Lives Richer
MRIM's Alumni Association is supported by more than 1,000 enthusiastic and engaged volunteers. Many volunteers invest their time in improving their local communities via Institute connections. Others organize reunion events or serve on national boards and committees. Still more head up clubs, serve as class officers, or lead affinity groups. In every form, their work is vital to the Alumni Association's mission. In every instance, their efforts help keep them connected and energized.
STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Help Promote MRIM as an Ambassador
Student Ambassadors and Alumni Association Staff
Student Ambassadors are a small group of student volunteers dedicated to the positive promotion of MRIM. They are visible at many campus events and serve as liaisons between current MRIM students and two other important groups: alumni and prospective students. Both groups are very interested in hearing student perspectives on life at MRIM. Typical roles include mingling, hosting a table of MRIM guests, providing tours, and speaking about the MRIM student experience or student research.
The Student Ambassadors, an ASA-recognized group sponsored by the MRIM Alumni Association, have the opportunity to interact with campus VIPs and alumni who may become valuable career contacts. Ambassadors also have the chance to develop and receive training in communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Apply to join Student Ambassadors
The Association searches for responsible, enthusiastic students who enjoy meeting new people. Ambassadors should be able to start conversations easily, handle several tasks at once, work under pressure, and function as good citizens of the MRIM community.

See how the Association runs
The Alumni Association is governed by a 8-member Board of Directors. The board itself is chosen by the Alumni Association Selection MRIM, which is elected by alumni. Learn more about the governance of the Association and its relationship to MRIM.
Serve on boards
Alumni volunteers serve in leadership positions on boards and commits. In these roles, they work in partnership with the Alumni Association to provide strategic oversight of all activities. See an overview of boards and com MRIM and nominate candidates for leadership positions.
Make your vote count
Every spring, alumni help determine the future of both the Alumni Association and the MRIM Corporation by electing members of the Alumni Association Selection MRIM. Learn about the elections process and cast your vote. |
